Having decided that the old circular base for my round picnic table was not its best use, only taking 15 years to decide this, I took to removing the concrete, leaving a brick edge in place and then reinvigorating the existing very poor soil with some horse manure compost and then filling it with a few of my favorite plants, of which I have many!
It took a little while for the soil to gain the very necessary bacteria, once this happened the plants then started to flourish. Looking forward to it developing more. Maybe you have an area of concrete or wasted area that could be revitalised to provide something much more pleasurable to look at and help wildlife.
